About Dr. Chandarana
Himanshu Chandarana, MD, is a board-certified pulmonary disease and sleep medicine physician bringing more than 30 years of experience to Stat Care Pulmonary and Sleep, serving adults living in St. Petersburg, Florida, and throughout Pinellas County.
Dr. Chandarana was born and raised in Godhra, India. He began his professional pursuits at Baroda Medical College in Gujarat, India, earning his medical degree. Following graduation, Dr. Chandarana moved to the United States and completed a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey.
Before entering private practice, he completed an internship in internal medicine and an internal medicine residency at New Brunswick Affiliated Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Dr. Chandarana proudly holds membership in several professional organizations, including the American College of Chest Physicians, the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Internal Medicine, the American Society of Sleep Medicine, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin.
Throughout his career, Dr. Chandarana has served in various capacities, including staff physician, chief of staff, and medical director. He founded Stat Care Pulmonary and Sleep with fellow physician, Ashok K. Tyagi, DO, in 2021.
Dr. Chandara is passionate about helping people achieve restful and rejuvenating sleep. He takes a holistic approach to sleep and pulmonary care and uses the latest technology to ensure positive treatment outcomes.
